Inside our web page you will find
information relating to The Event Derby® , upcoming events,
results from previous Derby competitions, and pictures from previous Event Derbies.
The Event Derby® competition consists of a Dressage Test
followed by a Jumping Course combining both stadium and cross-country
fences. There are approximately 12-22 obstacles on varied terrain,
and may include banks, ditches, and water. The Event Derby®
is a recognized USEA Schooling Show and provides a safe venue
for new competitors, green horses, as well as a schooling opportunity
for the experienced competitor. The Event Derby® provides
a cross-training opportunity for both horse and rider, regardless
of their equestrian discipline. Riders are encouraged to enter
more than one class as at each level as there are four opportunities
to school at the same jumping specifications and in the same
level for dressage. Dicounts are available, see Forms and Premiums. Attention Training 3-Day and CCI Riders
Don't forget to sign-up for the Steeplechase clinic with Kathleen Zins on Saturday,
August 7, 2010. This is a separate clinic from the jumping clinic with Kathleen Zins. The
steeplechase clinic is being offered at a discounted rate of $75. Sherry Hevner-Rygh,
director of the Long Format Club, will be in attendance to answer any questions regarding
the club's ongoing programs.

Send in a check made out to the "ELCR" with your entry and get a discount on all of your entry fees. (No other discounts apply.) See forms page for info.
In an effort to make the tentative schedule more accurate we will not be accepting Dressage entries or full Derby entries after the Thursday prior to The Event Derby. Riders will still be able to post enter all classes for a $20 per entry post entry fee from the closing date to the Wednesday prior to the Event Derby. Riders can still post enter the "Jump only" phases of the Event Derby ($20 post entry will apply if not previously entered prior to closing date) all the way up to the Derby and on the day of the Derby.
TED will again be hosting the "EVENT HORSE 2B CHALLENGE" in 2010 at the March Kingsway Farm Event Derby.
Any horses also entered in the Elite Event Horse Auction (EEHA!) will get FREE entries at the Kingsway Farm Event Derby.
